Alabama state representative Lawrence Rudolph Simmons is in for the race of his life. Switching from Democrat to Tea Party Republican in an attempt to sway his district’s increasingly white population, Lawrence cannot afford to make any mistakes.
As if on cue, a mistake from Lawrence’s past enters his present. Eight years ago, Gabrielle Mercedes was his daughter’s roommate in college. In a time of desperation, Gabrielle lodged with the Simmons family, where she and Lawrence gave in to their mutual passion. Now a committed Christian, she’s come back to deliver a double-whammy: She claims he’s the father of her daughter, Jasmine—and Jasmine needs a bone marrow transplant to save her from cancer.
Lawrence’s first impulse is to deny he’s the father. But a little girl’s life is at stake. Still, if the truth gets out, it could destroy not only Lawrence’s political career, but his relationships with his wife and children.
With The Other Side of Goodness, Vanessa Davis Griggs brings us another moving story of Christians in crisis, in which the right answer is seldom the simple or comfortable one…but even in darkness, family, faith and love always shine through.

The book is good, but I am hoping that the story continue because the ending is unfinished.

This book is so good, it focuses around Gabrielle from the Blessed Trinity Series! This book ended too quick for me. I need a follow-up to this one! If you've read the other books in the series you must get this one, and if you haven't you have a lot of catching up to do! This book was great and this author is very gifted in her craft!
