It’s hard to stay fly when your empty purse is rooting you to the ground. So Ra’Keeyah, Shayna and Quiana decide they’re going to get the clothes, the cash, the bling—and the men—they want, any way they can get them. And they do mean any way. When shoplifting and check kiting aren’t enough to pay for the new threads, the girls start peeling off their old ones in the strip clubs. Enter Brick, who runs a drug-dealing biker gang. “Key-Key” goes ga-ga over Brick, which gets her tossed out of her mama’s house—and in deep with her friends, who don’t want to break up the team. As life gets harder and harder for Shayna and Quiana, Ra’Keeyah sees Brick as her ticket to Easy Street. But it all may fall apart if he finds out she’s a stripper.

I really admire this author (Brandi Johnson) because she provides readers with a full/detailed story. Her books are always long (500 pages) and tells the story from beginning to end. This indicates that she gives us our money worth and she also put a lot of time in effort in her stories. She tells a great story!
I totally enjoyed reading about the entanglements that these young characters got themselves into. I really liked the banter between mother and daughter, it reminded me of how difficult it is for a strong black single mother to keep her daughter on the right path. Must read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This book had me laughing and crying. I absolutely fell in love with Brick's character. It really is a must read!!
I loved this book. I hope there is a part two. Loved all the characters and it broke my heart when Shayna died. A must read!!!!!
I REALLY ENJOYED THIS BOOK. I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN. I LOVED ALL THE CHARACTERS. OF COURSE MY FAV WAS BRICK!
