The delicious and devilish Mink LaRue is the long-lost daughter of a Texas oilman…and if you buy that, she’s got a bridge to sell you. In reality, she’s a 20-year-old hooker, petty thief, gold-digging skank and natural born liar. And in Noire’s skillful hands, Mink’s dirty deeds and boudoir misadventures will leave you breathless.
As the Sexy Little Liar trilogy begins, Mink, on probation for check-kiting, is dabbling in pole dances and doing a bit of bedroom blackmail on the side. When she meets Dajuan, a Philly hustler looking to make the big move in the Big Apple, the maker finds herself the mark for the first time in her life. “Bad News LaRue” needs some good news, fast. And she finds some.
Sable Dominion, heiress to a Lone Star State oil fortune, disappeared in NYC 18 years ago, at the age of three. When Mink sees a missing person photo of her, she notices the striking resemblance—and hatches her biggest con ever. Soon she’s in Houston, where she’s flim-flammed half the hopeful family and slept with the rest. But Sable’s uncle, Suge Dominion, isn’t exactly Mr. Clean himself. And if it takes a liar to catch a liar, Mink LaRue may rue this day!

This was my first Noire read and I found it to be okay. It did take me a little longer to finish than normal but half way through it really caught my interest and I was anxious to see how it would end. I had NO idea it was going to be a sequel so I hated being left hanging. When I went to order the sequel is when I learned it won't be out until later this year! I'm interested enough to order it just to see how it ends. I do hope everything will be tied up and that there won't be any more cliffhangers.

I am a devoted Noire fan and I could NOT wait to read this book. However, I must admit that I was very disappointed in this book. The book felt rushed and unfinished, I skipped through a lot of the pages to get to the end. I hope the sequel will have better character development and a fast plot that will make readers want to read more!

I happen to have liked this read. The author truly stepped out of her comfort zone with Natural Born Liar. I found it to be far less violent than her previous reads. It was hilarious in a round-away-girl sort of way. I love me some Uncle Suge. I can?t wait for the sequel.

I have read all of Noire's books and really enjoyed them. This book is not one of Noire's greatest. It was a slow read for me and I usually finish a good book in about 3 days. It took me almost 2 weeks to finish this book. I do plan on buying the sequel because I am a Noire fan. I just hope the sequel is a better read.
