What’s more powerful—love and loyalty or lust and revenge? That’s the question facing your favorite conniving characters from the Million Dollar series as they tangle with the Harris family! RM Johnson pushes the passion meter into the red with Deceit and Devotion.
Monica is recovering from the gunshot wound that nearly killed her—and from her failed marriage to the manipulative Nate Kenny. Nate left her for Daphanie, but now he’s got steam coming out of his ears when he finds out he’s not really Daphanie’s baby daddy. He wants her to sign over custody to the real father—but Monica persuades her to fight. That’s where attorney Austin Harris comes in. But he’s got his own issues: He’s trying desperately to pull his nephew back from a life of street crime. Also, Austin’s divorce has left him lonely and needy, and he’s set his sights on Monica.
As Nate tries to exert control over Daphanie, Monica seeks retribution against Nate, and Austin tries to pull Monica into a love affair she’s not ready for, things get even worse. Freddy Ford, the guy who shot Monica in the head, is behind bars…but he’s still got pull. And he’s got unfinished business with Nate. Don’t miss the explosive payoff!

Enjoyed the book, more characters, more story lines. I just know there will be another follow-up. Mr. Johnson just let me know when. You are very good at stringing a person along.

After reading 100 pages in such a short book, I was not moved in this sequel. This series has been one of my favorites. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this novel.
Disappointed
