New York Times bestselling author Mary B. Morrison opens a whole new world for readers to experience and enjoy, presenting a moving, unforgettable story of lives at a crossroads, love lost and found and the price of secrets....
Mona Lisa Cunningham never thought she’d find romance again. It took everything to escape a life of fear and abuse and to remake herself as an independent, confident woman. Now she has a successful career, a new life and a devoted fiancé, William. But Mona’s fresh start is plagued by an overwhelming deception. To keep William safe, Mona refuses to set a wedding date, finding every excuse but the truth. Frustrated and confused, William begins to think about Katherine, the high school sweetheart he always regretted losing. When Katherine contacts him out of the blue, it reignites a passion neither can resist. Now Mona must act—and fast—if she’s going to keep her claim on the happiness she knows can be hers, even if the only way she can hope to hold on to William is to lay it on the line—and risk losing him. When her attempt to make things right goes heartbreakingly wrong, all will face the consequences, and they’ll need plenty of courage, strength and faith to get by.

This book was a very good read and certainly a page turner. However, I felt the book left me hanging in the end where I wondered is there going to be a sequel???? What ever happened to Lincoln, Mona, and Katherine Lord have mercy I hate books that leave you hanging unless there is a part 2!!!!!!

I thought this book was okay, although the storyline did not match the description on Black Expressions. As a professional counselor, I really enjoyed reading about William's character. I would welcome a sequel because there were some loose ends left with this book.
