The Year It Snowed in April

Raised from birth by his upper-middle-class grandparents, Avery was a straight “A” student and model child, who never got in any trouble. But he was also the son of Carla, the “prodigal daughter,” who left her baby son with her parents and ran off. Years later, she comes back. Her return unfortunately coincides with a terrible tragedy, which forces Avery to be in her care and custody. It doesn’t take long for “nature” to undo all the “nurturing” his grandparents did in raising him right, and Avery soon spirals into a dark world of dysfunction under his mother’s watch. But can he reclaim the strength and sanity his mother stole from him, or will he unleash the monster that his mother has so carefully created?
