New York Times bestselling author Carl Weber brings back the colorful, catty characters from Something on the Side in his latest novel, which follows the members of the Big Girls Book Club to a new town where they’ll find lots of new drama with family ties, friendship, love and betrayal.
Isis and Egypt have been through a lot together—and in spite of each other. But these sisters are trying to keep it real as they keep it together. Leaving New York City and making a fresh start in the plush suburbs of Richmond, Virginia, where their BGBC buddy Tammy lives. They’ve just started a new chapter of their beloved book club—with the same rules, like you must be at least a bootylicious size 16 to join. And, of course, there’s the unwritten rule that your life be full of drama…
Isis is now married to Rashad, Egypt’s ex, and everyone involved seems okay with the situation. That is, until Egypt moves into Isis and Rashad’s McMansion, and her old feelings begin to flare up. Egypt decides to move out—and quickly. But Isis has another plan. She and Rashad have been trying, unsuccessfully to start a family. Now she has a big favor to ask of her sister. One that could change all of their lives…
