"'What I ask from you is simple...your friendship.' Dutch finished and looked Tony in his eyes.
Tony nodded with understanding, knowing his friendship meant protection. He looked up at Roberto and then down at the stacks of money Dutch had laid before him. He rose from his chair and walked over to a large glass window overlooking the streets. He measured the gravity of Dutch's request. Dutch had taken the streets and was asking for his support in keeping them....
'So you wanna be the boss, huh? It takes more than balls to be the boss. You think 'cause you kill the head, the body will die? Not in this game it don't.... You think it can't happen to you?' asked Tony.
'Anybody can get it, but I promise you, I'ma live till I die.'"

New York Times bestselling author Teri Woods brings back her most talked about and critically acclaimed originally self-published series about the origins of a heinous East Coast drug lord and his crew as they taunt, terrorize and take over the streets of New Jersey . James Bernard Jr., a.k.a. Dutch, is feared by all, and completely fearless. He and his dangerous clique are the most terrifying force on the streets—and able to stay that way thanks to some important allies in high places... D.A. Anthony Jacobs is determined to take Dutch down, but he doesn’t realize just how few witnesses he has willing to testify, and how a sudden turn of events could make his mission more complicated—and deadly—than he ever could have imagined.

If you read the article regarding the Dutch Series, you will know that the release of Dutch 3 was held up because Teri Woods tried to take all the credit for Dutch 1 & 2. The original author of the Dutch Series got no acclaim for it and Ms Woods in so many words stole his material. That's why I will not purchase anymore of her books. As far as reading Dutch it is off the chain. But do not purchase the revise copy, she tried to put it in her own words to make more money.

True to the Game had me hooked on the author, Dutch was good but different for this author. I believe the author was tying to tell the story from the other end and not starting this gangsta tale from the beginning as all others have done in the past. Overall good read I plan to read part 2. Ms Woods did get my attention in this book. I wonder what she will write next the once Dutch series is over?
