“Pam turned and thought about where she was and what she
was witnessing. For the first time in her life she was
inside of a cooking house. She had heard about trap houses
and dope houses but never in her wildest dreams did she
imagine that it was cooked inside of a nice two-story home
in the suburbs.
She was learning a lot…with Chino. Maybe too much.
Chino had promised her that being with him would never be
boring, and he had certainly lived up to that promise. And
she knew that it would probably be dangerous messing with
someone in his occupation. But now, she was all in. Chino
had secretly stolen her heart, and now her future, her
freedom, even her very life, was in his hands. It was too
late for her to pull back, too late for her to leave him
alone. She had stood at the precipice and fallen over the
deep, dark, and dangerous cliff. The best thing that she
could hope for now, was that he would catch her. He was now
her safety net.”
—from the book, The Reason Why by Vickie M. Stringer.
In the highly anticipated prequel to Let That Be the Reason and Imagine This, see how Chino and Pam came to be! Pamela was just a regular girl from Detroit, going to college by day and hitting the clubs at night. At Jazzy Jay’s, she meets a fine man who slips a gun into her purse because he knows the police, who just closed in, aren’t going to check the girls for weapons. But when he leaves without collecting his property or telling her his name, she decides to track him down. When she finds Chino, he couldn’t be more thrilled. Now with this hot babe at his side, hustler Chino and his gorgeous Pam quickly become Detroit’s modern-day Bonnie and Clyde, letting nothing get in the way of their pursuit of power, passion and piles of cash.

Vickie, what was you thinking when you wrote this book? I was very disappointed, I was hoping this book would have pick up where Let That Be the Reason ended, but instead this book started from the beginning of Pam and Chino's relationship. This book should have been the first one written, followed by Let That Be the Reason and then followed by a part 3.
