Once the streets pull you in, they own you. Or at least that’s the way it’s been for Nautica. Growing up in the ‘hood, all she’s ever known is the fast life—fast money ill-gotten through scandals and relentless scheming. But when a big scam nearly finishes her off, she decides to seek more out of life than the “hustle” and tries to make a new life for herself on the East Coast. It isn’t long, though, before she falls in with Manny, a drug kingpin, who sweeps her off her feet. He promises to marry her and make her “Queen of the Street.” Then everything falls apart. As their relationship unravels, both of their dark secrets are uncovered, pitting them against each other in this exciting tale of love and deception.

I loved reading this book, it kept me guessing what would happen next. For some reason i didnt expect it to end they way it did but it was still good. Cant wait to read the next one.

Ok, I must admit, it was an interesting read; however, it's quite predictable. Shoot 'em up bang, bang, you're dead, and there's NEVER a happy ending. I think I'm going to give these urban novels a break for a while.

This book is excellent, plenty of drama & action & so many twists. Coldest winter ever use to be my favorite but Dopeman's Wife is my new favorite!!

The first book I read from the introductory offer. At first, it was abit slow but gradually peeked my interest and had me wanting to know what was next. Definitely a good read. Starting on the The Dopefiend (part 2) now!
