Once the streets pull you in, they own you. Or at least that’s the way it’s been for Nautica. Growing up in the ‘hood, all she’s ever known is the fast life—fast money ill-gotten through scandals and relentless scheming. But when a big scam nearly finishes her off, she decides to seek more out of life than the “hustle” and tries to make a new life for herself on the East Coast. It isn’t long, though, before she falls in with Manny, a drug kingpin, who sweeps her off her feet. He promises to marry her and make her “Queen of the Street.” Then everything falls apart. As their relationship unravels, both of their dark secrets are uncovered, pitting them against each other in this exciting tale of love and deception.

It actually took me right there as I was reading. I purchased all 3 of Mr. Coleman's books, but was upset when I found out that they were not a continuation of the first, as were "The Cartel" trilogy. However, I will read the others and then go back to the books that Ashley & Jaquavis have written. Loved those Murder Mama's

I bought all three books @ one time. I was so into the the first, I read the entire book in less than 8 hrs from start to finish. The characters and situations played out like a movie as I read. I have to admit I'm an avid reader. Although, I had never read any books by Mr. Coleman or his beautiful wife, I can tell you that I am now a huge fan and we'll be purchasing their works over the past several years. It's so hard to find an author(s) that exudes realness, facts and edge in a page-turner that come off to the reader as genuine, sincere, and relative . As this is only the first I have read in the series, I'm on the second of the trilogy as I type. Congrats are in order For Mr Coleman, and the next series is Murderville! I give this author rave reviews. I'm a novice writer myself, and reading his style of writing helps teach me What a reader likes and how to make sure you give it to them right the first time to keep them coming back for more. And please believe I'm coming back for more...

I'm not understanding what all the hype is about this book. Maybe it's just me, but JaQuavis seriously disappointed me with this book. I absolutely loooove the books JaQuavis&Ashley wrote, but this one....doesn't hold my interest. There are quite a few errors, like saying "her" when it's suppose to be "him", there's a lot of words left out of sentences which causes a little bit of confusion. I wish I could return all three books.
