"We took the stairs for fear the elevator might be too slow, and we barreled out the front door and speed-walked down the block, before the police could show up and haul me off to the clink.…‘I swear, I thought you were gonna burst into flames when you saw that picture of Dickhead and Joyce,’ Lula said. ‘It was like you had those glowing demon eyes you see in horror movies. I thought your head was gonna rotate.’
‘Yeah, but then a calm came over me,’ I said.…
‘The calm must have come while you were squeezing his neck and banging his head against the floor,’ Connie said.
I blew out a sigh. ‘Yep. That was about the time.’ "

America’s funniest fugitive apprehension agent is back!
If you’re ready for zany action and helpless laughter, don’t miss Janet Evanovich’s Lean Mean Thirteen, as old flames, new secrets and hidden agendas send bounty hunter Stephanie Plum on her most outrageous adventure yet—there’s no doubt that Plum & Co. put the fun in dysfunctional!
Once upon a time, Stephanie was married to Dickie Orr…for about 15 minutes, until she caught him cheating on her with arch-nemesis Joyce Barnhardt. She never wanted to see either of them again. But when tall, dark and sexy super-bounty hunter Ranger asks her to meet with Dickie, she can’t refuse—her knees are too weak. Ranger thinks Dickie’s doing something shady, and he is. He’s also back to doing Joyce Barnhardt. This last tidbit sends Stephanie over the edge, trying her very best to inflict bodily harm on her sleazy ex—in front of many witnesses. So when Dickie turns up missing, guess who’s the prime suspect! Now, besides dealing with exploding cars, violent bail jumpers and her slightly eccentric (i.e., nuts) family, Steph must find Dickie, figure out her feelings for Ranger and hot cop Joe Morelli, and, oh yeah—stay alive!

I love Stephanie Plum series, I love the animals she has in her book. Also I think she should have Sandra Bullock play Stephanie Plum. As far as Morelli and Ranger
I don't know who would play them. All her books are great. I can't wait till the next ones come out.

This book is good and so are all of Janet Evonovich's. I used to mainly read romance mysteries because that's what I myself write, but when my fiance gave me my first janet Evonovich I was captivated, not thinking I would be interesed at all. But she's funny and I laugh quite a lot and of course I have my favorite characters which are Stephanie, Lulu, and of course Ranger. I don't read Janet's other series because I love the Stephanie Plum series and I wouldn't know what to do without these characters.
