I am from Belize, and a black woman, I bought the book for my husband, because i knew that it would add and reinforce what he has always been trying to impart to others. This book must not be taken lightly. It goes across the board to every black person in the world. Black America must embrace all other black brother and sister, and stop defining accent. We all have something to bring to the table, Afro blacks, we are one, let us unite our collaborative genius and make our blackness count positive. Mr.Woodson was a visionary, lets follow his guidelines. Should be required reading in high school and college.

This is one the the best best that I have read in my life. Although it was written over 50 years ago, it is still relevant today. It is a definate eye opener for all americans, but ecspecially black america. When I first seen the cover of this book I wrongly jugdge it as a mockery novel, but I was terribly wrong. I highly recommend this book for all americans, and in my opinion it should be on the reading list in high schools.

This is an excellent and well written book and every African-American should read it and have it in there personal library. I have highlighted so much in my book and Mr. Woodson really opened my eyes. When I first started reading I could not put it down and could not wait to share his views with my family and co-workers. I wish I had read The Mis-Education of the Negro a long time ago.

I HAVE READ THIS BOOK TWICE. GIVEN A COPY 2 MY YOUNGEST UNCLE. THIS THOUGHT PROCESS IS STILL GOING ON IN AMERICA 70 YEARS LATER. FROM THE TIME DR. WOODSON PUBLISHED.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL SCHOOL BOARD HAD PLACED DR. WOODSON'S NAME IN A DRAWING TO BE VOTED ON TO BE CHOSEN FOR A SCHOOL'S NAME. THAT WAS IN 2007.
NO WORD YET ON THE OUTCOME.
IRONICALLY, SOMEONE TOOK MY LAST COPY.
WOW
