I considered myself to be a beautiful forty-year-old woman. I was confident about myself and even though my breasts weren’t as perky as they’d been before and some cellulite was visible on my thighs, there wasn’t much for me to complain about. Those things came along with the territory, and my two-times-a-week workout wasn’t going to change a thing. My four-mile walk aerobics class helped me stay fit, but I had an addiction to sweets! Still, my body was proportioned well and what kind of man didn’t want a woman with some meat on her bones? Reggie never had any complaints, but I had a feeling he traded me in for a woman who was half my size and age. It was his loss, though, and whenever I confessed my true age, no one believed me. My hair was healthy as ever and with the help of Pantene shampoo and conditioner, it gave me the feathery bouncing and behaving dark brown long hair I was aiming for. Halle Berry with long hair was written all over my face, but my body was thick like Toccara’s from America’s Next Top Model. Resembling Halle or having Toccara’s body wasn’t enough to spare me from losing the love of my life though. No doubt, I had to get over Reggie and it was a crime for a woman like me to feel so alone.

And who is gonna love you like I do?
Avery knew something was up the moment she walked through the front door and heard Babyface singing. The smell of garlic and spices filled the air, which was a clear indicator that Duke was cooking. Slipping out of her jacket, she continued into the dining room and smiled at the candlelit table, perfectly set.
“Welcome home, boo.” Duke walked up behind her and kissed her gently on her neck. “How was your day?”
“It started out rough, but it keeps getting better and better,” she told him as she turned around and put her arms around him. “How was yours?”
“Better, now that you’re home.” He leaned in and covered her mouth with his. Avery felt herself melting. The wetness of his tongue welcomed her and she indulged herself in his taste, moaning in the process. After all these years, kissing him still made her weak at the knees.

Our Club favorite author hooks up two literary divas to turn up the heat...
In Brenda Hampton’s “Who Ya Wit’,” forty-year-old new divorcée Desa Rae Jenkins feels the full impact of having an “empty nest” when her only son leaves home for college. Depressed and feeling without any purpose in life, she pretty much takes to her bed for a while. But little does she know she’s not going to be spending all that time in bed alone.... Not when Roc comes into her life. Yes, rock-hard Roc totally rocks her world. But how long can she carry on with a man so close to her son’s age?
Then in La Jill Hunt’s “Seven Year Itch,” sassy, full-figured Avery Frederick was woman enough to win the eye of the sexiest dude on the block and was even able to convert bad-boy hustler Duke to a life of true love and near-legitimacy. But seven years later, Duke hasn’t fully transformed into the man Avery’s tried to make him become. On top of that, she’s starting to feel a stirring for her attractive coworker, Vaughn. But is the passion that Avery and Duke have shared all this time enough to help them reconcile their differences and stay together—or will their love for one another finally make them realize it’s time to let go?

This book was so good, I could not put it down. I just wish that part one was longer or had more to it. Part 2 was ok but not as good as Who Ya Wit.

It was spicy and interesting. Not that realistic with the age difference, but I enjoyed it!

Who ya Wit was okay. Wish it could have been more realistic, I mean, what 40+ year old woman likes a thug like Roc let alone put up with his antics? I'm 27 and wouldn't. But to each his/her own. Now for Seven Year Itch...very disappointing. It was boring and had some typing errors. The word "coworkers" was in place of what should have been other words. And then the book jacket had totally different character names than what was actually used in the story. I will NOT be reading another La Jill Hunt book...sorry. And in all honesty, I hate that I wasted my money buying this book in the first place. I only bought it because I already have all of Wahida Clark's. Now thats my girl! Any other authors with stories like hers?
