I really don't like this book. But my son, when he was 2 and under, loved it. Now my daughter (also under 2) loves it. The illustrations are the only good part of this book - the little girl is adorable! Otherwise it is a waste. I make up my own words sometimes because the 'please baby please' drives me crazy night after night. I also use sign language (basic signs my daughter knows) while reading to break up the monotony of it. I can't wait until she grows out of it too.

I ordered 4 of these as christmas presents for my niece, god children and little cousin. They ALL loved it. The art work is amazing ( I love Kadir Nelson's illustrations). It's an easy quick read, but the illustrations captivate their attention!

When I ordered this book, it was an after thought. I was actually looking for another book. As soon as my niece saw the book she fell in love and wouldnt put it down. The pictures are so colorful, and the words are easy to read. She even slept with the book.

I have two children ages 7 & 3 who love this book. We read it everynight. The first thing that my children said when they say the cover of the book was that the baby looks like me. This book is easy reading and the illustrations are colorful. I recommend this book for the younger children ages 7 and under.
