Victoria Christopher Murray is also the author of Temptation. A graduate of Hampton Institute with an MBA from New York University, she lives in Los Angeles. "I just want to show the real side," she says. Her latest novel, Joy, takes a look at some very real issues through the eyes of Christian characters. "I never wanted to write specifically for the Christian audience...but I wanted to show that Christians are real people, too, and have the same issues in life." This story takes a look at the dark side of human nature and how one woman, Anya Mitchell, comes through it all. "I really wanted to confront the pregnancy/abortion issue -- what do you do when you have to make [choices]?" Now writing her next novel, Ms. Mitchell simply states: "I'm not preaching anything; I'm just trying to write a good story."
